The energy was high and the show was great – that probably summarizes last week’s Synergy in San Francisco best. Stratodesk presented its latest offerings to a delighted audience at the Stratodesk booth.  At booth 606 we demonstrated NoTouch Desktop running on a motherboard from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), based on TI’s DaVinci™ DM8148 digital media processor, and showcased what’s to come with powerful yet cost-effective ARM®-based thin clients based on system-on-chip (SoC) technology. Stratodesk proofed its hardware independence by presenting our solution working with this new technology, everybody was talking about at CITRIX Synergy. The first Software-on-Chip/HDX devices were just yet presented by some hardware vendors at the show.

Stratodesk recently teamed with Desktone, the pioneer in cloud-hosted Desktops as a Service (DaaS),  bringing NoTouch Desktop to Desktone customers. At the booth we also demoed how easy and fast it is to repurpose a PC with NoTouch Desktop and after that establishing a connection to the Desktone cloud in seconds.

Even though CeBIT in Hannover, Germany suffered in the last years a bit the loss of attractiveness and fascination, it stays with 300.000 attendees from more than 110 countries a highly successful show and an important place to meet for IT industry. Stratodesk Founder and CEO Emanuel Pirker and VP of Sales Europe Harald Wittek made use of the opportunity from March 06 to March 10 to network with attendees but also to socialize with existing leads, customers and partners and to meet longtime friends.

They also took time to take a look at new trends and developments in business IT and talk to vendors from all over the world. Stratodesk’s shortly before CeBIT announced SoC/ARM solution was addressed as well as new trends in the thin client and desktop virtualization market that are highly influenced by Stratodesk.

For the first time friends of the Stratodesk polar bear met on Friday, Nov. 18th at the reopened, stylish location “TRACE” in San Francisco’s SoMA neighborhood. In a friendly and casual atmosphere of the futuristic “living room bar” guests listened to news about NoTouch Desktop and some took the opportunity to talk to Stratodesk CEO Emanuel Pirker about their experiences with NoTouch Desktop and to ask product related questions.

But Stratodesk’s friends and customers did not only come together to discuss work related topics.  After the technical issues at the “living room bar” on first floor could finally be fixed, the guests had some drinks, chatted and laughed with the Stratodesk team until late at night.

Keeping with the slogan “learn new things – gather information – start evaluating now” – Austrian distributor dicom was on tour in Austria.

The half-day events in the Austrian cities Dornbirn, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Graz and Vienna offer dicom’s reseller partners the possibility to talk to vendors, learn more about new products and to sozialize. Stratodesk showcased in all five locations it’s solution to repurpose other vendor’s PCs and Thin Clients (e.g. Fujitsu or HP hardware). Reseller partners embraced the flexibility to choose any hardware they like.

What happens in Vegas spreads the world: VMworld 2011, hosted by VMware, was definitely the leading virtualization and cloud infrastructure event of the year. More than twenty thousand of IT innovators, practitioners, executives and technology providers attended VMworld to explore the leading edge of the industry’s most powerful trends in more than 500 breakout and information-sharing sessions, 20-plus hands-on lab topics, invaluable networking opportunities and meet over 400 sponsors and exhibitors.

Stratodesk presented its endpoint-repurposing product NoTouch Desktop to an interested audience in the New Innovator pavilion #171I. NoTouch Desktop gives customers the ability to future proof their investments in hardware combined with cost and time saving centralized management for all their endpoints. This brand new and innovative product is the solution many attendees were waiting for to transform their existing hardware into robust and simple to manage VDI terminals making it easy to connect to a VMware Server, terminal services or other major VDI vendor’s solutions.

How to turn your new and aging desktop hardware in robust centrally managed VDI terminals?Stratodesk had the answer at TechTarget’s BriForum 2011 hosted by virtualization guru Brian Madden.

At McCormick Place in Chicago the Stratodesk team successfully showcased from July 19-21 2011 its new product NoTouch Desktop, a hardware agnostic PC and Thin Client repurposing and management solution.

Stratodesk impressed the tech-savvy audience at the show by proving how easy and fast repurposing can be and the capability to run on every vendor’s hardware at Stratodesk’s Silver-booth and in the Internet lab, also sponsored by Stratodesk.

Best information for resellers was the focus of German distributor TAROX’s seventh in-house exhibition TAROX Inside on May 27th this year. More than 1000 registered partners and several vendors were present at the event site, the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, home of Germany’s soccer champion 2011.

At the Stratodesk booth the attending resellers learned about newest products and solution in the field of desktop virtualization with thin clients, PC repurposing and endpoint management in a virtualized world. Also showcased at the booth was the TAROX TC100, a cooperation product of TAROX (Hardware) and Stratodesk (Software).

Resellers learned useful best practices and got tips for the daily business in several sessions and labs covering current topics in IT. An exclusive treat for all soccer fans among the attendees was the stadium tour and the visit in the “Borruseum”.

As always, the after show party was one of the highlights of the day and after a delicious dinner it was time to dance for attendees, vendors and Tarox employees.

TAROX Inside was a highly successful event – a great show, interesting talks, newest information and a perfect evening.
