Stratodesk & Travel Europe – 15 Years of Excellence

Stratodesk’s longtime customer, Travel Europe, is still a dedicated Stratodesk/Citrix customer today, leveraging Stratodesk Thin Clients across multiple remote locations throughout Europe, delivering exceptional work experience via Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and seamlessly managing their secure digital perimeter with Stratodesk NoTouch Center.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. AND STANS, AUSTRIA (PRWEB) OCTOBER 03, 2019

Rudolf Detter, Head of IT at Travel Europe, knows a good thing when he sees it. For this reason, Travel Europe was one of the first adopters of Stratodesk software. Before Virtual Desktop Infrastructure had broken into the mainstream – in fact, before smartphones were even commonly used – Stratodesk and Travel Europe believed in the power of the next generation VDI technology. Today, Stratodesk, the creator of the leading endpoint OS and management solution for VDI, DaaS and IoT endpoints, announced their continued success with Travel Europe and Citrix. This is a success story that is 15 years in the making, beginning with the predecessor of our flagship product, NoTouch Desktop, and Citrix® Virtual Apps and Desktops, and continuing today with the latest and most up-to-date Stratodesk powered devices and Citrix products.

Travel Europe has been successfully involved in incoming European tourism for more than 30 years providing inclusive coach and air packages, head office support from over 120 employees and a network of 15 offices throughout Europe with over 80 staff providing local support. The family-owned company based in Stans, near Innsbruck/Austria, has grown from a small Tyrolean travel agency into an international tour operator. Highly-qualified employees provide bespoke tour packages for group tours by coach or by air (using in-house charter flights) throughout Europe, Jordan and Israel.

For more than 15 years, Stratodesk has helped Travel Europe unify its IT infrastructure and achieve massive savings and increased endpoint security. In addition to that, Travel Europe saw a range of other benefits including:

● A reduced requirement for patching and maintenance
● Significantly improved start-up and log-in times for users
● Less downtime and more productivity due to a network centric computing approach
● Distinct savings from administration and support
● Centralized and remote management of all desktops

“Because all applications are able to be maintained only on the server and not on the local devices, it is now much easier and much faster to deploy new applications,” explains Rudolf Detter. “This is a huge advantage when opening a new branch office. In Krakau, Poland, a new office was up and running in half a day due to the new network centric approach from Stratodesk. Stratodesk thin client solutions also increased security in our company. With NoTouch Center we have many security options to choose from including the feature of locking down USB ports to prevent the dangers of unauthorized data download.”

“Travel Europe has been working with Stratodesk for 15 years” continues Detter. “We are pleased with the partnership, and look forward to further success in the future!”

“We are ecstatic about our long term success with Travel Europe” says Stratodesk CEO, Emanuel Pirker. “We believed in VDI since its inception, and our joint success with Citrix will only continue as VDI continues to innovate and expand as a market and technology. In the coming years, we expect to even see it converge with IoT. In fact, we already see this today, evidenced by the workspace hub, ThinPrint Hub, and NoTouch IoT.”

“Employees today expect the freedom to work from anywhere at anytime using the devices and applications of their choice,” said John Panagulias, Director, Citrix Ready. “Travel Europe can deliver it in an efficient, unified and cost-effective manner that optimizes IT efficiency and im-proves user engagement and productivity, and we are pleased to be partnering with Stratodesk to help Travel Europe do just this.”
