The European-based mega-manufacturer, Sidel, uses Stratodesk software to power its diverse fleet of endpoints. Here’s how we partner with Sidel to save the company time and money by modernizing workspace device management.
Sidel came to us via French-based reseller, CONTINUUM Technologies. In fact, Stratodesk software is the most in-demand product at CONTINUUM. This is thanks to the fact that Stratodesk gives you the best price-to-performance ratio, delivering more software for less money than any other competing solution.
Sidel came to CONTINUUM at a critical junction in their journey to next generation end user computing. They needed a software solution that could power and manage both x86 and Intel NUC devices. However, the operating system versions and settings were different across every endpoint. Sidel needed a Thin Client management solution capable of managing everything from the individual OS updates and patching on endpoints to setting their configurations and settings.
Finding a solution that enables secure and swift management for all Raspberry Pi and Intel NUC devices was no easy task.
Managing Diverse Workspace Devices
“We currently have a fleet of 200 hardware (NUC and Raspberry Pi) devices. It would have been difficult to manage various operating system versions and adjust
live settings unitarily” said Jérôme Pouleau, Sidel’s IT Operations Manager of Corcelles-lès-Cîteaux.
Ultimately, Stratodesk software was the only end-to-end software solution able to fulfill Sidel’s requirements. Stratodesk NoTouch Desktop is capable of deploying onto endpoint devices bare metal, transforming them into powerful and secure, NoTouch Thin Clients. IT can then manage all endpoints using Stratodesk NoTouch Center. NoTouch Center works with both x86 and ARM based devices.
“NoTouch Center is a key differentiator from the competition” – says Nicolas Ballet at CONTINUUM Technologies. “Centralized management is mandatory when dealing with hundreds of devices or more. NoTouch Center’s Save and Announce feature is instant and reliable .”
