Citrix Summit 2018 –Stratodesk goes to Anaheim

What’s the coolest part of being a Citrix Partner? It might just be taking part in exclusive events where Citrix unveils their newest, biggest products (all under NDA, of course).

But even better than being a part of Summit 2018 is how integral Stratodesk has become for Citrix’s new HDX Ready Pi. Again, we can’t get into details here (not yet, anyway). But suffice to say that you can expect bigger and better things from the Stratodesk/Citrix relationship this year. Until then, we hope that you can share in some of the hype that was Citrix Summit 2018. In order to help fill you in on what you missed, here are a few highlights from the event:

It was great to catch up with our partners at Summit 2018

Apart from meeting with tech enthusiasts and our peers amongst the Citrix Ready Partners, it was also great to catch up with our OEM partners for the new HDX Ready Pi. NComputing and ViewSonic were both present at the event (we snapped a picture of NComputing’s team right next to the Stratodesk booth. See it on their twitter feed).

Citrix reaffirms its commitment to its core technology stack

Ever since 2015, Citrix has been committing themselves to their core technology stack and canceling products that were deemed superfluous to their core mission. At the conference, Citrix leadership re-committed to focusing on the technology that matters. Maybe that means some rebranding is to come, but the core technology should stay the same.

Which is good for Stratodesk, given our OS is the operating system for the HDX Ready Pi.

Citrix continues its focus on the cloud

The cloud based business has been growing at Citrix, and has become a major focus for them. By embracing cloud computing, they hope to enable better user experience, remove some of the hassles involved with hosting your own on premise VDI, and more.

Stratodesk CEO delivers keynote on NoTouch OS and the new Citrix HDX Ready Pi

Emanuel Pirker, CEO of Stratodesk (pictured below) delivered a keynote sharing more details on the HDX Ready Pi –the world’s first enterprise grade, Raspberry Pi based endpoint.

The Citrix HDX Raspberry Pi supports dual view, Skype for Business, and high graphic display via the H.264 decoder. The Citrix HDX Ready Pi comes with NoTouch Center –Stratodesk’s enterprise grade, Thin Client management software

All said and done, the Summit was a blast, as we knew it would be. We had so many people stopping by our booth we almost had to start turning people away! But we’re so grateful for the Citrix Partner Love and support we received from everyone –so thanks again!

Meanwhile, we’re looking forward to another great year at Stratodesk, welcoming new members to our world class team, opening yet another office, and pushing out newer and better product releases.
